Hello, I am Michael Era.

     I have decided to run for President of the United States of America, as a second job.

     I am not sure where this journey will take me, or how far I will get. I am sure that I am going to keep running until the day I die. whenever that may be. 

I am running because I can no longer take watching our world fall to $h1t.

     The homeless situation is out of control, places around the country just keep having more and more to deal with. We need incentives and jobs for people to earn affordable housing. Jobs which are going to become more and more scarce as we pivot towards the future.

     Our schools are failing, because they lack the funding or the ability to pay teachers to do a job that no one wants to do. It's too hard to survive on a teachers salary. many work 2 or more jobs and or rely on a significant other for income. it's not fair to the people who want to teach and it is extremely unfair to the children of this country. 

     Our government system is stagnant, there is no more working with the other side to effectively govern or lead the people of America. Inspiration from the leadership is almost non-existent. 

     Our military is scattered across the globe and we pay more for our military than all the other countries of the world put together. before WW1 and WW2 the United States did not have bases all over the world, but yet we were able to step up and help when needed. I do not feel it our job to police the world, and I am sure the world feels quite the same.

     The United States of America is founded on Manifest Destiny, a destiny that has been derailed. The American Dream is out there, but quite unattainable for many people. We need to start allowing Americans to have and attain dreams again. 

I am not a politician and I see no use for running for lower offices, as I feel it would just break a person down and make them apart of a system that is ineffective.

I have not gone the traditional career route to become president, because that is not what I wanted to do with my life. however it has always been a dream of mine from childhood. It also used to be the dream of many many people. but like others, who really wants the job?  Leadership needs come back. It's time to set things straight, before there is nothing left to put back.

     I can't do this on my own. No one will probably even notice ME. But together we can all make a difference. We can change the world. We can bring about changes like the world has never seen. To make this place Awesome. Everyone has been telling me you can't do this or that, because of the systems... 

Yes You Can.

Yes We Can. 

I am not going to have speech writers or people tying to manage a campaign to attack others or to trick people into voting for me.. I really do not care who else is running or what they promise to do. because those promises are very rarely kept or they are kept in malice. The time for dirty campaign tactics, and false promises are over.

     Sure you can't make everyone happy. BUT you can bring everyone to the table.

Everyone can have a say. 

I want to create a voting app that everyone can download and vote for the issues on. I can't do that myself...

A lot I can't do myself. and honestly do not want to do myself. My campaign and presidency is going to rely heavily on others. Committees are going to need to put into place and the American people are going to need to step up and be a part of those committees.

There is A LOT of work to do. but I don't think people who are inspired think of it as work.

So let's put our creative minds together and start coming up with solutions. 

I only want to be president for 4 years, after that I want to be able to walk away. If for some reason I didn't do my job and an effective leader isn't in place, then I don't deserve to be there in the first place. If that leadership does not work out I would have a second term to be eligible to run again, with the hopes that I never have to again.    If I ever notice I am having feelings of power or greed, I am going to Impeach myself. If I ever seem like I am trying to do that to the American people, bring it to my attention and impeach me or let me do it myself. 

But honestly I want to retire when the time comes, and travel the country and the world. hopefully one that is much more peaceful and enlightened. There are a lot of enlightened creative people out there. Everyone really needs to Step Up. I'll do my part if it's allowed. 

Finally I would just like to say I am not going to talk about myself, tell stories, or try to convince everyone what kind of person I am.  Anyone who has ever met me can talk about what kind of person I was to them. Some may be good, some may be bad. I am a real person who has been living my life. And I try to do my best that I can to my ability in whatever it is I am doing. Sometimes I succeed, some times I fail. But I will always get back up and keep being myself.
